Solid shapes, crisp contours, and carefully chosen gestures make each figure read as a complete illustration, with clothing and chairs used sparingly to distinguish the poses.

The figures can extend fashion photography or beauty illustration into poster borders and packaging patterns, since their flat profiles echo cut-paper graphics. It is strongest in fashion work, where individual symbols serve as decorative figures rather than lettering.
