Rusticus Std by Denis A Serikov is a free calligraphic display font with a medieval, hand-cut air. Its sharply flared strokes, uneven curves, and pointed feet give the letters a lively silhouette, as though drawn with a broad pen and then carved.

It can lend old-world drama to fantasy publishing and music posters, yet its wiry shapes also suit craft beverage packaging and festival signage. The irregular construction feels theatrical rather than formal. In an illustrated crest or shop sign, the hooked details can become part of the emblem itself instead of serving as neutral lettering.

The font includes alternative characters through the OpenType “salt” feature.
