Quirkus Italic by Peter Wiegel is a free calligraphic sans serif with a steep forward slant and loose, lively curves. Changing stroke widths and sharp joins give the letters a quick, hand-drawn quality.

Comedy, independent music, and offbeat culture suit its restless movement, making it useful for posters, album artwork, and event graphics. It is most convincing in a logo, where sweeping forms turn a short name into expressive lettering.
