Podkova from Cyreal is a free slab serif with sturdy, upright letters, broad proportions, and a distinctly workmanlike finish. Broad proportions and gently bracketed slabs feel firm, not mechanical.

Craft food packaging is a convincing home for its solid shapes, which recall traditional labels and the practical lettering found on workshop signs and sturdy shipping crates. It also brings a warmer, less severe voice to literary publishing, album covers, and music posters with folk or roots-oriented subject matter. For brewery branding, the squared feet and softly modeled curves echo the sturdy mix of hand-painted signs and older printed product labels.
