Plastische Plakat-Antiqua, a free 3D display font digitized by Dieter Steffmann from Gille fils' 1828 design, has the grand, theatrical air of early poster lettering. The caps pair stately serif forms with heavy black shading and bright inner highlights, creating a carved, embossed look that feels closer to sign painting and bill posters than to ordinary type.
