Opium Roadie by David Slaager is a free retro display font with an extremely tall, compressed silhouette and theatrical stroke contrast. Its broad verticals, hairline joins, rounded arches, and tightly fitted letters recall late-1960s poster typography with a slightly surreal edge.

Psychedelic music and underground club culture are its clearest references, making it apt for concert posters and record packaging. It also fits fashion editorials and boutique branding. The stretched curves can echo liquid patterns, distorted photography, or illustrated smoke, turning the lettering into part of the artwork.
