Maxfield Parrish 140 by Maxfield Parrish of Character is a free brush display font with an irregular, ink-cut silhouette. Stroke widths shift abruptly around blunt, ragged edges.

Its lumpy contours echo hand-painted illustration, making the lettering useful for children's book covers and fantasy posters. The same rough warmth can suit confectionery packaging and quirky event graphics. In publishing, it can turn a title into part of the artwork rather than neutral type.
