Mara's Eye الخط

Mara's Eye, created by Neale Davidson from 2012 to 2014, is a free sign dingbat font centered on ocular symbols. Its solid forms combine hooked crescents, blunt wedges, and circular dots, with changing widths that make each mark feel individually drawn. The eye motif recurs throughout the set.

Digital graphics give these symbols an immediate role as interface emblems, coded markers, or surreal decorative icons. Their stark silhouettes also suit experimental posters and music merchandise, especially when a project draws on watching, secrecy, or altered perception. In publishing, the eye motif could become a recurring section marker, while game artwork uses cryptic signs as part of a fictional symbol system.

Maras Eye is a puzzle language based on the glyphs found at Disneyland’s Indiana Jones ride. Its letters represent distorted English. It includes all canonical characters based on the ride, along with numbers and punctuation created by fans.
