LMMono10, designed by B. Jackowski and J. M. Nowacki of TeX users groups, is a free monospaced serif font. Its fine strokes and broad bracketed serifs recall clean printed typewriter text.
Its orderly spacing gives technical manuals a measured structure and lends literary packaging a restrained, mechanical note. The same disciplined letterforms suit code-themed posters, editorial captions, and archival graphics, linking practical information with the texture of historical machine-set print.
