Lab Mix

Lab Mix by Apostrophic Laboratories is a free display font whose whole idea is contrast: each letter seems pulled from a different visual family, from the loose opening stroke to the sharper, more formal capitals. That mixed rhythm gives the lettering a cut-and-paste character, so it feels intentionally eclectic rather than simply irregular.

That approach makes sense for zine covers, music flyers, collage-style posters, indie packaging, and scrapbook headlines where a uniform alphabet would feel too neat. It can also anchor art event branding or DIY web graphics, because the shifting shapes already supply the layered, assembled look without needing much extra decoration.
