Hargita الخط

Hargita by Roland Huse is a free modern Gothic display font with razor-sharp geometry and sharply changing stroke widths. Tall verticals are broken by triangular cuts, angular notches, and abrupt diagonals.

For metal album artwork, its severe forms resemble a custom band mark, yet the angular lettering also suits fantasy game titles and festival posters. Fashion merchandise can turn its ornamental silhouette into a graphic motif. It will appeal to designers working with dark music, theater, and medieval themes.

HARGITA is named after the Hargita Mountains in Transylvania. Because runes had no small capitals, the capital versions were scaled down. The font includes icons of the totem bird Turul and the sun and moon symbols from the flag of Székely Land.
