FV Almelo by Floris Voorveld is a free condensed sans serif with tall capitals and softly rounded stroke endings. Its narrow, mostly even forms feel drawn rather than engineered, and the broad curves in letters such as O and U keep the dense silhouette from turning severe.

Retro poster design is its clearest setting. The elongated lettering suits music flyers, cafe branding, and editorial covers, especially when the surrounding graphics echo its rounded geometry. It can also shape packaging for drinks or casual food products, where the upright proportions suggest a compact sign and the softened corners help establish an approachable product identity.

The font uses uppercase letters as its standard glyphs. Alternative glyphs are accessed using lowercase characters.
