Dilys Bold, designed by Leon Hulst for TypeFaith fonts, is a free high-contrast serif with broad capitals and sharply tapered details. Its deep curves, blade-like serifs, and changing stroke widths give the lettering a theatrical, slightly eccentric silhouette.

Publishing is its strongest setting, especially for dramatic cover lines and feature openers. The same sculpted forms suit fashion packaging, cultural posters, and event programs with an artful or historical slant. The pronounced points and swelling curves let the lettering function as decorative imagery, not merely as neutral text.
