DarkwoodShad2 by Otto Maurer is a free decorative outlined font with distorted, woodland-themed lettering. Its uneven contours twist around dense interior shapes, and branches, roots, and small forest silhouettes interrupt the letterforms. The result feels deliberately unruly.

Designers working in horror, dark fantasy, or underground music will find it suited to posters and album artwork. It can also turn game titles and themed event graphics into part lettering, part illustration. The tangled wood motif gives those projects a recognizable identity rooted in eerie forest imagery, twisted folklore, and haunted fairy tales.
