Canela Light, designed by Bianca Oliveira and Denise Matsumoto, is a free light sans serif with extremely slender strokes and tall, poised proportions. Its broad curves feel clean and airy.

Fashion editorial design is its clearest setting, especially for cover lines and section openers that benefit from its elegant scale. Cosmetics packaging and gallery posters also suit its restrained geometry, which gives both applications a refined, contemporary voice. It is strongest in fashion publishing, where the elongated letters echo the vertical lines of runway imagery.
