Brennan الخط

Brennan is a free slab serif display font with massive, tightly packed letters and blunt rectangular serifs. Slightly uneven edges and shifting stroke widths keep its weight from feeling mechanically precise, recalling rough-cut poster type.

Food, sports, and music themes suit its sturdy handmade shapes. It is especially convincing on burger packaging and pub signage, with concert posters and casual merchandise offering another home for its dense, emphatic lettering.

The font is based on an early-20th-century Russian alphabet. The creator initially auto-traced a few letters to spell BRONX and later created the complete alphabet. The uppercase letters are original; the lowercase letters and punctuation were taken from two other vintage type sources.
