Promenadenmischung by David Kerkhoff is a free trash-style handwritten font with blunt, uneven strokes and a deliberately battered finish. Its tall letters shift in width and alignment, with rough joins and squared-off curves that make the writing look quickly painted on a weathered surface.

Posters give this lettering its most convincing setting, especially for underground music, skate events, and independent theater. It also suits album covers and merchandise. The scraped, improvised shapes connect these uses to punk graphics and homemade street signage, where the lettering can become part of the artwork rather than a neutral caption.
