KingjolA الخط

KingjolA by Lars Manenschijn is a free medieval blackletter font built from steep thick-to-thin strokes, broken contours, and small thorn-like projections that give the lettering a dark hand-cut appearance. Pointed tops and hooked flourishes sharpen the narrow letterforms.

Historical publishing and fantasy game graphics ask for different kinds of atmosphere, yet the jagged manuscript shapes give both a convincing visual link to stories of old legends, ritual, and heraldry. The same ornamental bite suits heraldic event posters, metal album artwork, and tavern packaging, where the letters can merge with crests, engraved borders, woodcut-style patterns, and dramatic illustrated beasts.
