Grendel's Mother Expanded الخط

Grendel's Mother Expanded by Daniel Zadorozny of Iconian Fonts is a free condensed display font built from towering caps and stark changes in stroke width. Broad black sections meet razor-thin cuts, with pointed diagonals giving the lettering a severe, carved look. The silhouette is narrow, dark, and highly vertical.

Poster design is its most convincing medium, especially for horror films, heavy music events, and experimental theater, where the slashed forms can echo fractured or blade-like artwork.
