Flaemische Kanzleischrift الخط

Flaemische Kanzleischrift by Typographer Mediengestaltung is a free formal calligraphic script built from pronounced thick-thin strokes and large, rounded capitals. Its sweeping flourishes provide most of the ornament. Long entry and exit strokes loop around the letters, and the smaller forms maintain a brisk forward movement across the line.

The looping penwork echoes ribbon illustration, so it can become part of engraved or botanical artwork on invitations, wine labels, and heritage packaging. Its courtly air also belongs on historical book covers and event programs, where the lettering can function as ornament as well as text rather than a neutral caption.
