Ekushey Lohit هو خط مجاني للغة البنغالية يتميز بطابع هادئ يشبه الصحف. تبدو الحروف متجذرة في القراءة اليومية بالبنغالية، مع أشكال دائرية انسيابية وإيقاع أفقي ثابت يحافظ على نسيج متوازن بدلاً من أن يكون مزخرفاً.
هذا الخط المجاني مناسب للصفحات التحريرية، والنشرات الثقافية، وتسميات الواجهات، ومحتوى الكتب، والعناوين التوضيحية القصيرة حيث تريد أن تبدو اللغة البنغالية مباشرة وراسخة. كما أنه يلائم الملصقات، وبدايات الفصول، والعناوين التي تحتاج إلى لمسة مطبوعة مألوفة بدلاً من الأسلوب الخطّي أو الاحتفالي.
