Eh Cyr by Ray Larabie and Nikolay Dubina is a free Japanese-inspired display font with broad, angular lettering and a firm, cut-paper silhouette. Its strokes shift between straight bars, open corners, and sweeping curves that recall katakana construction without copying a single repeated shape. The result is brisk and graphic.

Japanese pop culture and retro-futurist themes make a convincing setting for game graphics, music packaging, and event posters. The clipped diagonals and emphatic forms can also turn merchandise lettering into part of an illustrated logo rather than neutral text. It is especially suited to science fiction, arcade, and anime-related projects that benefit from its sharp, constructed forms.
